Nairobi Securities Exchange Surges 1.1% Amid Strong Foreign Inflows and Robust Trading Activity
The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) showcased impressive strength on August 7th, 2025, with the Nairobi All Share Index (NASI) advancing by 1.1% to finish at 160.98 points. This marked a continuation of the bullish momentum seen in the market, supported by gains across the NSE-10, NSE-20, and NSE-25 indices.
Although overall market turnover dipped slightly by 11.8% to KES 596.45 million, investor enthusiasm was bolstered by a remarkable surge in foreign investor participation. Net foreign inflows soared nearly fivefold, rising 493.6% to KES 50.98 million, underscoring renewed confidence from overseas investors in the Kenyan market.
